Established for nearly 50 years, we are a family run business who have become the leading group retailer of school uniform, sportswear and accessories in The Midlands. We also supply direct to schools and colleges across the UK and on the Continent through Clive Mark Direct, have a great range of generic or bespoke workwear or clothing for your Business or Club and are an approved stockist for the Scout & Guide Association.

The company was founded by Tony Rose in 1963 in Bearwood, West Midlands and was initially known as Rose's Modern Menswear, selling 'Mens & Youths Fashion Clothing'. Seeing a gap in the regional market for the supply of school uniform Coreen, Tony’s wife, opened the first Clive Mark Schoolwear shop in the premises next door in 1977. Over the next 20 years the business steadily expanded as a further 7 stores opened across the region in Kings Heath, Sutton Coldfield, Sheldon, Walsall, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Coventry and most recently in Redditch becoming the leading wholesale and retail group supplier of school uniform and sportswear in The Midlands.

Alongside this retail expansion Clive Mark relocated to a new registered Head Office and prestigious warehouse premises on the south side of Birmingham to enable better stock management and to house our dedicated 48 head embroidery facility. It has also been necessary to add four new offices to encompass the growing wholesale business, sales and enquiries.

Today’s management team still includes Tony and Coreen’s son Clive - Marketing Director, Kevin Thomas - Financial Director and Clive Peters - Operations Director together with an additional talented group of management, operational and sales support totalling over 120 staff at key selling times.

We have an excellent reputation in the school and workwear businesses, supplying uniform to retail customers through retail outlets across the region, direct to schools and also online to more than 1000 schools and customers in the United Kingdom and abroad.
