Project Ruth

Project Ruth is an educational and charitable program run in Romania which offers life changes to disadvantaged children through education, day centre activities, medical help, hygiene support and humanitarian aid. Their services ensure that poor children receive a primary education which provides necessary support to keep them where they belong - in a family environment.

140 children are currently enrolled at Grades I - V at the Ruth School in Bucharest and the school is expanding to offer Grades VI - VIII. Project Ruth is also working together with other organisations to help Roma children in other parts of Romania and Moldova and over 100 children are currently involved in these smaller projects. Project Ruth's main emphasis is to work among Roma communities, but they do not exclude children on grounds of race, colour or gender, seeking instead to encourage integration and acceptance of others. We help by regularly sending consignments of clothing to Romania and will continue to do so during the course of 2012.

Cure Leukaemia

We also actively support Cure Leukaemia which is a registered charity established to support a Leukaemia centre in the Midlands. It is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and its objectives are aimed at specifically addressing the needs of Leukaemia and Multiple Myeloma patients across the region.

Sponsorship

Over many years Clive Mark has proudly sponsored many events and activities held by schools, clubs and people with which we have a strong association. Our sponsorship has covered school football, rugby, table tennis, netball teams and also included choirs and other non sports activities. It is not always clothing either, as we have provided choirs with music stand covers, Sports Clubs with bags and a Nursery with play equipment.

We feel great pride when many of the youngsters we have sponsored realise their dreams and aspirations and it is rewarding to know that our support has helped provide them with that chance.
